LocalRisk was built to close that gap: one search, one plain-English report, before the decision is made. Every rating on LocalRisk traces back to an official source: Environment Agency NaFRA2 flood modelling for England, SEPA flood data for Scotland, Natural Resources Wales flood data for Wales, Met Office UKCP18 climate projections, Defra UK-AIR PM2.5 air quality monitoring, British Geological Survey shrink-swell clay assessments, NCERM and NatureScot coastal erosion mapping, and ONS green space access data. There is no proprietary modelling and no AI-generated scoring - risk summaries are produced by a deterministic, rules-based system so the same postcode always gets the same, checkable answer. Where coverage varies by nation, the report says so rather than papering over the gap.
Datasets are refreshed as the source agencies publish updates, and the results page shows when data was last checked. LocalRisk is independent: it is not affiliated with any insurer, lender or property portal, carries no advertising and does not sell user data.
